11/5 We will likely have our small unit test Friday and begin the novel right after that? Do you have your own copy if you want one? 10/18 Sorry for the delay. Here is Vocabulary 12 abet (v), callow (adj), descry (v), inane (adj), indict (v), licit (adj), neophyte (n), requisite (adj), soliloquy (n), lieu )n) 10/17 We will be looking at Oedipus Rex to begin this nine weeks. Feel free to re-read the play on your own time in order to assure understanding. You will need to have a comfortable knowledge of the contents to do the associated project. 10/7 The next draft of your paper is due Thursday 10th by end of day. All copies and plagiarism checks most also be included along with the rubric for the first draft I graded. 10/3 Your 2nd paper is due tomorrow and is to be turned in with all of the components of the first one, rubric included. Be sure you run it through turnitin before printing out that draft so that you can make any final corrections. It won't be graded until that is done and will be counted late daily.
9/30 Friday is the day for your next draft. Be prepared as with all previous copies at rubrics at the beginning of class. 9/26 A paper due date is coming up so be on the look out for it and consider getting revisions completed. 9/17 Your unit test is Thursday, journals are due Wednesday by 4:30 and you still have a vocabulary quiz Friday! 9/16 Keep in mind that a unit test is coming this week and your first journal set is to be shared with me on Wednesday. 9/10 Due to an MLA review, the new due date for the first draft is 9/10 by 4:30. IN the box. 9/4 Stay safe during this unexpected break. Your vocabulary 5 quiz will be the day we return and your first draft of the grade level project will be due then as well. Don't forget to print out that line by line plagiarism check as well. Other issues (like power outages) will be addressed as they occur. 8/30 Keep that 9/6 deadline in mind with your grade level project. You have a three day weekend that you could get some work done on it and be done! 8/21 Source evaluations are due Friday! Please don't procrastinate and remember to spend the necessary time on part 4. 8/16 Okay. You made it through week 1! Don't forget to be working on those source evaluations as they are due next week. 8/15 The Epic Of Gilgamesh will be the first piece of literature from the Ancient Middle East that we explore. Keep an eye out for themes as we read through the material and determine evidence that supports what this culture valued. 8/13 Unit one will begin today and will be ongoing with the writing tasks. 8/12 Ok, we are launching into the writing of the grade level project. Be sure to keep up with the steps so that you do not fall behind! 8/7/19 Welcome back! I hope your summer break was awesome and you are back and ready to begin working! Have you started your 20 hours of volunteerism yet? Remember, it should relate to your social issue that will be the topic of this semester's research paper for your grade-level project. All of the necessary paperwork is under the student tab on the school's website so be sure to print it all off to make sure you get the right paperwork filled out for your project.
